The Reason for the Season. Merry Christmas!
We are in the age of invisible boundaries. We are connected by technology and social network sites have been a huge part of our daily existence. If Christ was born at this time and age, it would have looked like this. But thousands of years ago, or fast-track 2011, the meaning of Christmas remains the same. It is the great rejoicing at the birth of Jesus who'd later sacrifice Himself on the cross to redeem the world - all for His great love for humanity.
I am sure all of us were thrilled at all the Christmas presents we have received; we were smitten by the greetings, hugs and kisses from our loved ones; we were satiated by the taste and smell of the festive food on our dinner tables; we were delighted at the sight of sparkling lanterns and Christmas trees; but I hope we have not forgotten the real reason for the Season!
May we always find Christ being born in our lives not only on Christmas day, but every single day we are alive. Let us allow Him to touch even the rough spots of our beings. Let us surrender to Him all our sorrows, trials and confusions, then every day would always be like Christmas.
Merry Christmas from me to you and your family!
